ROGERS CITY, Mich. (AP) — The election to fill a metropolis council seat in a Michigan city was settled by drawing two items of paper from a bowl, days after a 616-616 tie.
The brand new council member in Rogers Metropolis: Timeen Adair, whose paper mentioned “elected.”
Brittany VanderWall’s paper mentioned “not elected.” There have been hugs by the pair Monday — and no onerous emotions, The Alpena News reported.
“I instructed folks, both approach, Rogers Metropolis wins,” VanderWall mentioned earlier than the drawing.
