Russian President Vladimir Putin is not going to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Friday.

Peskov mentioned that though Russians “respect” the queen “for her knowledge,” Putin’s attendance on the funeral will not be an possibility.

The spokesman added {that a} determination shall be taken quickly on who will signify Russia on the ceremony.
