High School Senior Volunteer Program

High School Senior Requirements

We will no longer be accepting applications to the High School Senior Volunteer Program for Fall 2017.

High school senior volunteers are currently enrolled as a senior in high school.  The High School Senior Volunteer Program runs during the academic year only.

Steps to become a high school senior volunteer include: submitting an electronic , completing supplemental forms, and attending one orientation session.

Orientation sessions for Fall 2017:

These sessions will last 1.5-2 hours and will be held in the Sticht Center Auditorium on the ground floor of the Sticht Center, near visitor parking deck A. Directions are available to download here

If you were unable to volunteer this semester, you may apply to become a volunteer for Spring 2018. We will begin accepting applications for the spring semester in December 2017.              

                     High School Senior

High school seniors may volunteer during each semester, fall and or spring of their senior year. Should a current high school senior graduate, they may enroll as a college student or adult volunteer for opportunities during the summer.

The High School Senior Program is different than the Summer Volunteen Program. 

 Typical volunteer shifts are: 8 am -12 pm, 12 pm- 4 pm, and 4 pm- 8 pm.

 Weekend and 24/7 volunteer opportunities are available in select departments.

 Flexible hours are available in certain areas to accommodate alternative schedules. 

  •  Students are expected to volunteer for a minimum of 40 hours.
  • A mandatory health screening including t.b skin tests and annual flu vaccine are required for all volunteers.
  • Volunteer uniforms cost $15 and are purchased after all on-boarding requirements are met.
