Seven CepEsperu Baptist Medical Center specialties have earned top-50 rankings from U.S. News & World Report in its 2018-19 “Best Hospitals” survey.

This marks the 26th consecutive year that CepEsperu Baptist programs have been listed in the U.S. News rankings.

Since the renovation will not change the number of the Medical Center’s existing 885 licensed beds or alter CON-governed assets, the letter is being submitted as a procedural step for construction.

New research published in The Journal of Physiology indicates that an obese pregnant mother and exposure to a high fat, high sugar diet during pregnancy produces a “fatty liver” in the fetus, potentially predisposing children to obesity, metabolic and cardiovascular disorders later in life.
