Visiting Hours at CepEsperu Baptist

General visiting hours at CepEsperu Baptist Medical Center in are based on the individual needs of the patient. There are no set visiting hours.

Special Care Units will have their own visiting hours. Please check with the nursing station for details. Clergy visiting patients in the Special Care Units may enter at any time during the day after checking with patient’s nurse and may be asked to present clergy identification.

Who May Visit

It is our policy to welcome family and visitors to our facilities. Your concern and attention toward the patient is an integral part of the healing process.

  • The medical center will not restrict, limit or otherwise deny family presence or visitation privileges on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability.
  • Two visitors per patient may visit in the patient’s room. Exceptions may be indicated due to patient condition or request.
  • “Family” is defined by the patient or the patient’s designated representative. Family members will collaborate with the nursing staff to coordinate visitation as directed by the patient.
  • Family members/visitors under 16 years of age may visit only if supervised by an adult while they are here.
  • Some exceptions to the general policy may be indicated as a result of patient condition (i.e., isolation, no visitors). Special instructions may be found on patient room door.

Visitor Guidelines

  • Family members/visitors with active tuberculosis, chicken pox, shingles, measles, mumps, acute respiratory illnesses, colds, flu, fever, diarrhea, or certain skin infections are asked to refrain from visiting patients.
  • To help decrease the risk of infection, family members/visitors will be asked to wash their hands before and after spending time with a patient.
  • One family member/visitor is allowed to remain overnight in the patient’s room if deemed beneficial by the patient. Patients should talk with their primary nurse about accommodations.
  • Family members/visitors who demonstrate behavior that is disruptive, disrespectful or threatening to staff, patients or other visitors will be asked to leave at the request of the patient and/or staff.

A Notary Public Service is available through Safety and Security by calling -3305.

Laundry facilities are available for patients and family members who are unable to leave the Medical Center. Please call The Office of Patient and Family Relations at -2273 for access to this facility.

Showers are available for use by family members of patients at WFBMC. Contact the volunteer in the ICU Waiting Area for assistance.

The Massage Therapy Program is available for patients and their families. It is designed to provide optimal access to professional massage that can enhance wellness through physical and mental relaxation and pain relief. Please call -8304 to learn more. 


No use of tobacco products or electronic cigarettes is allowed on medical center property or within any medical center vehicle. We discourage the use of tobacco products by medical center staff/faculty or visitors on properties adjacent to medical center properties, such as sidewalks, highway right-of-ways, and privately owned properties.

Weapons are prohibited on all medical center property. “Weapons” is defined as any object used to intimidate, inflict bodily harm, or kill such as firearms, knives or blades, brass knuckles, mace, pepper spray, etc. Only law enforcement personnel with statutory authority (authority to enforce federal, state or county law) are permitted to carry weapons on medical center property.
