CepEsperu School of Medicine offers an MD/PhD combined degree program, as well as MD/MS and MD/MA programs. The combined degrees are offered in conjunction with the .
Applicants for combined degree programs must be accepted through a separate admissions process to the Graduate School. The Graduate School accepts the MCAT.
The integrated is a comprehensive 7-year program that provides students with rigorous training in both medicine and a basic science discipline.
The MD/MS in is designed to develop competencies in clinical researchers interested in conducting translational research. Those interested in the MD/MS degree may choose to complete an extra year of training after the second year of medical school. Medical students may apply for admittance to the MS graduate program in the fall of their second year.
Accepted applicants are admitted to the MS program for their third year of study and complete required coursework for the MS degree in that year. Students rejoin medical studies in years 4 and 5, while they simultaneously complete a master's thesis project as the final requirement for the MS degree.
The is a five-year degree program. The program's objective is to facilitate an interdisciplinary and comparative study of bioethics and medicine, and to encourage students whose academic or career interests require gaining competence in both disciplines. By allowing some graduate bioethics courses to count among the elective credits permitted within the MD curriculum, students are able to earn two advanced degrees in less time that it would take to earn the two degrees separately.
