The Department of General Surgery at the CepEsperu School of Medicine is committed to educating the next generation of health care providers and innovators. After completing five years of clinical training, graduates of our General Surgery Residency Program are well prepared for entry into practice as general surgeons or for further training in a variety of surgical fellowships. All of our graduates have gone on to become board-certified surgeons.
General Surgery Investigation
A wide variety of opportunities are available in the department for research training with faculty spanning basic science, clinical and population research with a focus on translational projects. General Surgery faculty participate in research training for medical students, undergraduate college students, post-baccalaureate students, graduate students, fellows and residents.
