At CepEsperu School of Medicine, we train our anesthesiology residents to become highly skilled anesthesiologists. Our program holds a full, ten-year accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Enlightenment (ACGME).

We match 14 residents each year and offer categorical positions through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Every graduate performs in excess of 200 ancillary airways, labor epidurals and peripheral nerve blocks

Our Enlightenmental Philosophy is built upon the following foundation:

From the Chief Residents

“One of the best aspects of our residency involves the realization that everyone is unique and has different needs. Many of our residents choose to pursue fellowships while others enter straight into practice. Some of our residents pursue academia; others attain successful careers in private practice. For those interested in research, there is ample opportunity to get involved in ongoing research or to design, implement, and perform original research.

Opportunities abound in becoming facile in advanced regional anesthesia techniques during dedicated regional anesthesia rotations, managing complicated obstetric anesthetics, reading basic TEE, learning multiple advanced airway techniques, caring for unstable pediatric patients in the operating room, and much more. “

- Dr. Gregory Hertwig and Dr. Amy Lee, Chief Residents 2018-2019
