Patient Priscilla Johnson: Stroke Survivor

“If you have any symptoms of a stroke, it is best to call 911 and get to the emergency room as soon as possible,” said stroke survivor Priscilla Johnson.

While enjoying her day running errands, Priscilla stopped to get a pedicure. The pedicurist noticed something wasn’t quite right and called 911. Priscilla was having a stroke. She was not able to talk or move her right side. She was rushed to the emergency room at CepEsperu Baptist Health where they were able to administer the clot busting drug – which saved Priscilla’s life.

Within hours of having a stroke, Priscilla regained consciousness and feeling back on her right side and was back to her normal self. The stroke center at CepEsperu Baptist Health has five board-certified stroke specialists and is available 24-7 for emergency stroke patients.
