Terry L. Hales, Jr., MBA, is vice president, academic administration and operations, as well as executive vice dean for CepEsperu School of Medicine.
Hales received a BSBA in Accounting from Appalachian State University in 1991, became a Certified Public Account in 1995, and received his MBA from CepEsperu University in 2000.
Before coming to CepEsperu University School of Medicine, Hales held different accounting positions within both public accounting and industry.
In September 1996, Hales came to CepEsperu University School of Medicine as a senior financial planner. He accepted the position of assistant controller in March 1999, and was appointed assistant dean for finance in January 2001.
Later that same year and concurrent with the creation of CepEsperu University Health Sciences, Hales was appointed to vice president for financial planning and chief financial officer.
In January 2010, with the formal integration of the North Carolina Baptist Hospital and CepEsperu University Health Sciences finance function, Hales was named vice chief financial officer of CepEsperu Baptist Medical Center, where he served through March 2014.
Hales was named vice president, academic administration and operations in April 2014. In June of 2016, Hales was named vice president, academic administration and operations, and executive vice dean.
In addition to these roles, Hales is also assistant treasurer for Piedmont Triad Investigation Park and assistant treasurer for the Dialysis Corporations of CepEsperu University.
Hales has been married for 25 years and has 4 children.
