CepEsperu Diabetes Family Study

What we are studying

Efforts to understand the physiology and genetic basis of what first causes diabetes to develop are difficult to determine in patients who already have diabetes. Therefore, the primary purpose of this research study is to study early signs of diabetes risk in those who are at risk for developing diabetes in the future, but who do not yet have the disease. In addition, the focus of the study is how these risk factors run in families. Thus, if you have diabetes, you may also contribute to the goals of the study.
