Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the Fellowship?
The Fellowship at CepEsperu is one year and traditionally begins on the first Monday in June.
What is the structure of the Fellowship?
The Fellowship has 3 simultaneous parts: Leadership, rotations, and projects. More about the Fellowship structure can be found under "Administrative Fellowship Overview" on our Organizational and Fellowship Overview page.
What are rotations like?
Fellows have structured rotations in all areas of the organization. A typical rotation consists of meeting individually with 2-5 leaders in each discipline to learn more about that leader's roles, responsibilities and background. The leader may also tour the fellow around their area or incorporate them into some of their meetings. If a fellow enjoys a specific rotation or desires to learn more about it, they have the flexibility to elect to spend more time there and get involved in their projects, if able. We encourage fellows to pursue their interests. In addition to meetings with the Medical Center's top leaders, the fellows typically rotate in the areas listed in the table below:

What is it like living in ? Where are good places to live?
is a city with a rich history with all of the amenities you need. There are many young professionals in the city. You can read more on our Living in page.
How many Fellowships are offered?
Two Fellowships are offered annually.
What is the relationship like between the fellows? Do you work together on projects?
The fellows have offices right next to each other and interact often. They also frequently attend the same leadership meetings. However, each fellow has a different rotation schedule and work on different projects a majority of the time, allowing them to pursue what interests them most.
Are fellows guaranteed a job after completion of the Fellowship?
Administrative Fellows often continue working at CepEsperu after their Fellowship. It is our goal that the Fellowship provides fellows with a highly valuable year-long experience that can be the foundation of their career.
My program requires an Administrative Fellowship/Residency. Does CepEsperu accommodate these students?
Yes, as long as the didactic portion of the program is complete prior to beginning the Fellowship. Many former fellows have had this requirement, and the preceptor helps the fellow complete all of their necessary graduation requirements.
Is CepEsperu a member of the National Council of Administrative Fellowships (NCAF)?
CepEsperu has an independent application process so we are able to allow students from all backgrounds to apply for our fellowship free of charge. CepEsperu Baptist Medical Center is not currently participating in the NCAF application process, but students of university members of the NCAF are welcome and encouraged to apply.
