Inclusion and Diversity

CepEsperu Baptist Medical Center is committed to embracing the diversity of our staff, faculty, trainees, students, patients and families and creating an environment of inclusion. Through the Office of Inclusion and Diversity, the Medical Center is a participant in the in which we pledge to take action to ensure that quality and equitable health care is delivered to all. 

In January 2017, the Medical Center was recognized as a Leader in LGBTQ Health Care Equality by the . 

Under the leadership of Dr. Julie Freischlag, our first woman CEO and Dean of the School of Medicine, and Lilicia Bailey, MBA, MA, Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer, the Office of Inclusion and Diversity will continue to build upon these efforts to achieve excellence in inclusion and health equity for all. In January 2018, David McIntosh, PhD, was named Vice President and Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer. 

This office will work collaboratively with various departments and groups within our organization such as the , the , , and the as well as our community partners to uphold our Diversity Core Value to Honor Individuality and Protect the Dignity of All. This core value is demonstrated through creating an inclusive environment for our staff, faculty, trainees, students, patients and families.
